Equipment & Uniforms

What gear do I need to buy my child for the baseball season?

Big Willow will provide each player with a baseball hat and jersey for their team.

We have some items coaches can borrow from the shed at the start of a practice or game. These must be returned at the end of each session.

  • T-ball and Juniors bats
  • T-ball and Juniors helmets
  • Glove with player’s name on it
  • Water bottle with player’s name on it
  • Appropriate footwear for player’s age – no open-toed shoes(only tennis shoes for any indoor practices/clinics)

* While not required, at the older ages, many kids have their own bat.  At these older ages, height and strength disparity is greater.  Players are welcome to share their bats with one another, but there will not be any team bats for the older ages

Current Bat Rules and Restrictions

Big Willow will be allowing Big Barrel bats conforming to the new standard in 2012.  Big Barrel bats manufactured prior to the standard being changed, or not displaying the approved stamp, will not be allowed. All 2 ¼” bats will still be allowed at Big Willow.
